[Bug 26359] Re: [sarge] bogus "Filesystem would be destroyed" message

Why this bug is still here?
Debian Sarge is not supported any more, this bug doesn't affect Ubuntu at all,
so why this report hasn't been deleted yet?

4. install command-not-found from oneiric-proposed
5. type hugday again
6. verify that it does not suggest anything this time (just outputs "command
not found")
* confirmed *
7. verify that a random binary like "gob2" still give a recommendation
* confirmed *

command-not-found 0.2.44.1ubuntu1 from oneiric-proposed, verified -
working.

2011-11-08 Thread Piotr Drozdek
Still true, as today, on Xubuntu 11.10 i386.
I uninstalled postfix, and current directory on terminal was still
/etc/postfix/. Every command with apt-get was spamming output with
sh: getcwd() failed: No such file or directory
I changed current directory to ~ and problem gone.

[Bug 774719] Re: Xorg freeze after installing Nvidia drivers

2011-11-10 Thread Piotr Drozdek
Hi Bryce,
Thanks for your reply. It passed full 6 months to have an reply, but thanks
anyway.
I don't use Ubuntu 11.04 anymore, so I cannot confirm does this bug still exist
or not. Also, I get rid of Nvidia card, now I have Radeon HD and using it
without any problems. You can close/delete (as appropriate) this bug report, if
need to.

[Bug 710796] Re: [regression] hibernate no longer works on natty

2011-02-02 Thread Piotr Drozdek
I'm using hibernation on my 2 machines and it works fine. On one of
them, restoring from hibernation is even *slower* than clean boot (lots
of RAM).
But - nobody can measure my time of opening all my applications again,
with specific ones, which cannot be saved to restore as it was.
That's why i'm using hibernation: I don't need to care about all my
documents, games, web pages, terminal sessions. If I will loose that
long login session with weeks of uptime, I will be really confused. I
can't imagine at the moment to work totally without saving my session
using hibernation.
We need hibernation back.

[Bug 774719] Re: Xorg freeze after installing Nvidia drivers

2011-05-01 Thread Piotr Drozdek
As you can see in dpkg.log, I enabled proposed repository and download 65 fresh
updates. But it didn't help to solve an issue.
Check dmesg.log - I waited about half of a minute and pressed ENTER - then
system starts booting.

[Bug 772109] Re: Polish translation - window too wide, buggy divider

2011-04-28 Thread Piotr Drozdek
Official Ubuntu 11.04 (choosed polish language) and look - how installer looks
like:
http://img198.imageshack.us/i/screenshotinstalacja.png/

Also, I noticed a double scrollbar near text field on bottom of a window. This
very small orange one, and on the left of it, was another one with grey
scrolling bar. It becomes visible when I started using this orange one.
Also, the text field with log stopped showing new information straight after I
clicked it with right mouse button (trying to copy text from text field to
gedit) I also use CTRL+C shortcut. Then I saw "^C" and it was a last word in
the log (in the middle of installing Ubuntu).

[Bug 772959] [NEW] Nautilus don't want to mount partitions in Gnome Classic when Gparted is running

2011-04-28 Thread Piotr Drozdek
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

$ uname -a
Linux ubuntu-desktop 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:24 UTC
2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 11.04
Release:11.04

$ apt-cache policy nautilus
nautilus:
  Zainstalowana: 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13
  Kandydująca:   1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13
  Tabela wersji:
 *** 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What you expected to happen:
I login to Ubuntu, Gnome Classic session (with Compiz effects). I clicked
Places button (or open Nautilus window and choose from right menu). Then I
choose any partition to mount (I have some NTFS and ext4 on my computer, on two
harddrives). Partition should mount in the system and new Nautilus window with
contents should open, so I can browse files. It happening in all Linux system
that I have (for example Debian with Gnome - I click partition name and it
mounting and window opens).

What happened instead:
nothing happened. I clicked all partition one by one, they won't open. I tried
'gksu nautilus', but Root's Nautilus window don't have list with partition
which I can mount, so I cannot click anything.

WARNING: It happening ONLY, when Gparted is running. I just realize it
now.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Invalid
