[Bug 267917] Re: Intrepid: PDF-printer not recognized by Okular
First of all, there is nothing to "recognize", as they are just fake printers, provided by Qt4 -only- (and not by "Intrepid" as you stated). Second, we (Okular developers) disabled it on purpouse, as it was giving issues with the PDF printing. [Bug 267917] Re: Intrepid: PDF-printer not recognized by Okular
I don't know nor don't care about what Ubuntu provides, but what I see from the screenshot *is* the Qt4 fake printer, the one that Okular disables for the PDF printing. If it would be a real printer (like I do have VPDF here), Okular would see it without a single problem (modulo previous Qt 4.4.0 bugs). Importance talking: this is purely a wish (and so will be considered if reported on our bugzilla), as it is a feature to be applied and used, not something we did provide someday and then disabled. -- Intrepid: PDF-printer not recognized by Okular https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267917 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 286014] Re: kde print ignores duplex & copy options
Okular cannot currently do anything to print more than one copy at a time when printing PDF, PS, DjVU, and DVI. The reason is simple: the Qt printing system is "smart enough" to actually think that it can use CUPS "copies" feature, so it always exposed the information that only 1 copy is needed. Given the inflexibility of the Qt printing system, we currently have to take the information from it, and invoke lp* manually. [Bug 115644]
Git commit 583ed246c75ce2c686957b6e1dc34aaed31206b4 by Pino Toscano. Committed on 12/03/2016 at 23:01. Pushed by pino into branch 'master'. Add Xapian support for indexing and searching Start using Xapian for indexing and searching the documentation: it works much better than htp://dig, it provides a C++ API, and it is well maintained. Introduce two helper tools to create/update an index, and search on it, starting from the cache.bz2 files generated by meinproc: this way it is possible to index the whole text, with the entities already expanded (something which would not be there when parsing the docbook files directly). Make use of libxml2 to parse the HTML documents, and get all the text in them. Xapian and libxml2 are currently considered as mandatory dependencies: they are portable, generally available everywhere, and not requiring themselves too many extra dependencies. [Bug 1325174] [NEW] please remove libpoppler-private-dev dependency from libpoppler-dev
Public bug reported: After the move of all the libpoppler private headers from libpoppler-dev to libpoppler-private-dev two years ago in Debian, I took care to having all the sources fixed in Debian within the Wheezy freeze. Hence, for almost two years, there were no sources in Debian using the private libpoppler and not build-depending on libpoppler-private-dev. On the other hand, somebody in Ubuntu added the aforementioned dependency to "easy a transition", without actually checking it was still an issue, and introducing a circular dependency (libpoppler-private-dev -> libpoppler-dev, and libpoppler-dev -> libpoppler-private-dev). Please remove this dependency. If there are still sources affected by this (which should not happen to anything being synchronized from Debian), then the solution is to just change the build dependency from libpoppler-dev to libpoppler-private-dev.
