I added this to /etc/geoclue/geoclue.conf: [redshift] allowed=true system=false users= And now Redshift does not need to ask for access anymore. Yes, it is disabled and if I enable it I don't have this bug anymore. However, I would prefer to be able to leave the compositor disabled. I don't get any warning in the console when I open the thread. Also, it seems it does not always happen the first time I open a thread (but always the next few times I try). I am using an IMAP account. (And I could also reproduce on another computer with another IMAP account.)
