[Bug 1539939] Re: missing menu in top panel

Just a comment on re-running "unity" as a command - it sometimes fails
to finish the command. The output on T420s (Intel graphics) x64 xenial
is enclosed. Thanks.

[Bug 1590590] Re: Touchpad not recognized on Dell Latitude E7470 Ultrabook

2016-12-24 Thread Petr Chmelar
The driver is a very nice Christmas gift, thank you, guys.

These settings make the Dell stick somehow Thinkpad feel:
# https://www.x.org/wiki/Development/Documentation/PointerAcceleration/
xinput --set-prop "AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick" "Device Accel Profile" 2
xinput --set-prop "AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick" "Device Accel Velocity
Scaling" 3
xinput --set-prop "AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick" "Device Accel Constant
Deceleration" 7
xinput --set-prop "AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick" "Device Accel Adaptive
Deceleration" 7

You can play with these values and if we agree on some values, they
should be set by default, because the default setting makes the stick
really unusable.

Also, I didn't find how to slow down the mid-button scrolling speed :(

xinput set-prop "AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Inertia"

[Bug 1311951] Re: Save dialog New Folder Closes with Shift

2016-03-15 Thread Petr Chmelar
This is similar to the bug that happens in 16.04 Xenial 64 beta in nautilus
(create folder, rename it) and also in other programs (Firefox, ...) in the
save dialog - Create Folder. When pressing shift (both left and right) it
closes the renaming/creating field.
In nautilus the renaming dialog is not closed, but the file looses its context.

Second, the rename field in nautilus is still there sometimes when you
go back and it is to rename the parent folder. This behaviour persists
since 14.04 but the shift thing is new.

I can't create a screenshot, because the field closes as I press Print
Screen.

sure, I had first beta. I installed it today, but they were purged some weeks

I did purge again today (both php and apache) and the files I sent you are

Probably, the purge should have cleaned also
10-opcache.ini -> /etc/php/mods-available/opcache.ini
20-gd.ini -> /etc/php/mods-available/gd.ini
20-intl.ini -> /etc/php/mods-available/intl.ini

20-pgsql.ini -> /etc/php/mods-available/pgsql.ini
20-readline.ini -> /etc/php/mods-available/readline.ini

Thanks and cheers! Petr

[Bug 1518516] Re: ubuntu session option "Show the menus for a window > In the windows title bar" loses menus in gedit

2016-02-15 Thread Petr Chmelar
BronsonMathews,
running "unity" from terminal helped me to return menubar to nautilus and
evince, but not to gedit. Can you try it, please? (you may need to run it
twice).

[Bug 1532634] Re: Netbeans hangs at startup splash screen

2016-02-16 Thread Petr Chmelar
Hi, I'm finally running NetBeans in Xenial after changing
netbeans_default_options in netbeans.conf according to patch
https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=243569
because of (as I reported)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netbeans/+bug/1544634

It was necessary to disable plugins
Warning - could not install some modules:
slf4j.api - org.netbeans.InvalidException: Netigso:
/usr/share/netbeans/8.1/ide/modules/slf4j-dummy.jar: Cannot start slf4j.api
state remains INSTALLED after start()
org.eclipse.jgit - org.netbeans.InvalidException: Netigso:
/usr/share/netbeans/8.1/ide/modules/org-eclipse-jgit.jar: Cannot start
org.eclipse.jgit state remains INSTALLED after start()

Netbeans already knows about this:
https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=257877

Maybe it will be necessary to update the package. Thanks!

[Bug 1532634] Re: Netbeans hangs at startup splash screen

2016-02-16 Thread Petr Chmelar
Well, even though I can run NetBeans as I commented 15 minutes ago, it
freezes anyway after couple of minutes using it. Sorry.
