[Bug 1186583] [NEW] Plain Purple, the blank screen when booting - Intel 945GM
Public bug reported: With a fresh install of 13.04 on a Lenovo X60, the installation went fine, however when booting up I see a plain purple screen then nothing. If I close the lid and re-open it simulating a sleep and awake then the login screen appears. Update "linux-image-3.8.0-19-generic" to "linux-image-3.8.0-23-generic" but same problem. I have tried adding nomodeset to GRUB which solved this issue although the display was to slow to be usable. Downloaded and installed "linux-image-3.9.0-030900-generic" which seems to have solved the problem but would be nice if it could be resolved on the current kernel.
