[Bug 1441344] Re: [Intel Thurley] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]
Joseph, the NVIDIA 340.76 driver won't build with Linux v4.0-rc7-vivid and nouveau since Linux 3.8 broke suspend for NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (and a bunch of similar cards) so testing suspend with v4.0 is a bit of a mess. But I went back to v3.7.10-raring, which I know should work, and I've nailed down the problem to the JMicron JMB363 SATA/IDE Controller being in "AHCI+IDE Mode" instead of "IDE Mode" in BIOS. I don't know whom to blame yet. :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441344 Title: [Intel Thurley] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1441344/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1331149] Re: Bluetooth: hci0 failed to open Intel firmware file
It's a rather new laptop so I've only had Trusty installed on it and can't say if it's a new issue. Haven't been using Bluetooth so I didn't notice it until now. Ten suspend/resume cycles have worked so far with kernel v3.15.1-utopic but it's too early to say if it's fixed since it seems to be a timing/race condition. Will keep on trying. I haven't looked at the firmware loading code but the disks resume asynchronously in Linux 3.15 which might affect the timing required to trigger the bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1331149 Title: Bluetooth: hci0 failed to open Intel firmware file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1331149/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 427714] Re: smbc assert failure: *** buffer overflow detected ***: smbc terminated
I used Valgrind to track down and fix some bugs. I bet there's still a ton of bugs left to discover but at least it is possible to browse network shares and copy files now. I had to create the file ~/.smbc/smbcrc with the option "workgroup WORKGROUP" (see doc) to get smbc to respond to keystrokes other than Ctrl-C. I also changed the compilation flag from -O3 to -O2 since the former triggers a lot of errors in Valgrind and likely makes smbc more crash prone due to the remaining bugs. ** Patch added: "smbc.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/smbc/+bug/427714/+attachment/3462010/+files/smbc.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427714 Title: smbc assert failure: *** buffer overflow detected ***: smbc terminated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/smbc/+bug/427714/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
