My Gwibber don't update twitter streams. My facebook account works fine. I have update to 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu1 with the same result. I get facebook updates but not on twitter. I delete my accounts, delete ~/.cache /desktop-couch ~/.config/desktop-couch and ~/.local/desktop-couch and I shutdown my system.
