I do encounter this bug as well. Is it going to be resolved? What is
happening next? Is there anything I can do about it?

2009-05-05 Thread O.S.
I have the same problem here on AMD K7 system (i686 AFAIR). Is there
something going to be done about it?

/etc/init.d is missing the dmraid script!

[Bug 354604] Re: [Micro-Star International MSI Notebook VR201] suspend/resume failure

2009-05-19 Thread O.S.
Adding a resume=dev/sdxN to the kernel line in the grub menu does not
solve the problem for me. And I wonder how it should. This bugreport is
about Suspend to Ram (STR), is it not? The resume line however is
intended for Suspend to Disk (STD, Hibernation).

[Bug 354604] Re: [Micro-Star International MSI Notebook VR201] suspend/resume failure

2009-05-19 Thread O.S.
I am trying to give a more detailled description of this bug. The laptop
goes into Suspend to Ram (STR)-mode without a problem as the attached
log tells. However, after pressing the power button to make the laptop
resume, the screen stays blank and the laptop powers down after a few
seconds. Afterwards you have to hold the powerbutton down (the laptop
powers up) until the laptop turns off again. Otherwise the laptop will
not boot and the screen stays blank. After the laptop is switched off,
another short press of the power button makes the system boot as usual.

I just want to add that with Windows Vista Resume works just fine. So
the hardware is not broken.

I am going to attach pm-suspend.log to show that suspend is not the
problem.

[Bug 1571417] Re: Kubuntu 16.04 update manager not working

2017-05-01 Thread O.S.
As of May, 1st, 2017 this bug still persists and affects the two
machines in my network. If I can supply further information, please tell
me which information you require. I suggest changing the status back to
"incomplete".

Nevertheless, thanks for all the great work you put into (K)ubuntu!
