[Bug 1861355] [NEW] Bombono DVD does not successfully generate DVD files in Ubuntu Studio 19.10 or 20.04 (in development)
Public bug reported: Bombono DVD does not successfully create DVD files in neither Ubuntu Studio 19.10 or Ubuntu Studion 20.04 (still in testing). In 19.10, it does not create all files necessary. If the dvd directory is opened using either VLC or Parole, the menu page appears, flashes, then disappears. In 20.04, none of the files in the VIDEO_TS directory are created. This has been tested on virtual machines using Virtualbox, as well as on both a MacPro and a Dell PC running Ubuntu Studio. Ubuntu Studio 18.04 on the MacPro and on the virtual machine will successfully create all files necessary to generate a working DVD. Bombono DVD in all cases was installed using Synaptic Package Manager. Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) uses source package 1.2.2-0ubuntu19 (version), and Focal Fossa uses source package 1.2.2-0ubuntu22 (version). ** Affects: bombono-dvd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861355 Title: Bombono DVD does not successfully generate DVD files in Ubuntu Studio 19.10 or 20.04 (in development) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bombono-dvd/+bug/1861355/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 2078639] [NEW] The update crashes at the same place. I have looked but cannot find any non-Ubuntu apps that may cause a problem
Public bug reported: I used apt policy to see which launchpad ppas are on my system, but did not see any that were not from Ubuntu. I removed all non-Ubuntu repos that I could identify. I have tried to run the installer both from the updater prompt and from the line command with no success. Re: [Bug 2078639] Re: The update crashes at the same place. I have looked but cannot find any non-Ubuntu apps that may cause a problem
Thanks Julian. I have already decided to do a clean install, including my /home directory. That way, the applications will be installed without any interference from what I may have previously done. Thanks for your response to the bug. On 9/2/24 04:40, Julian Andres Klode wrote: > I'm afraid this is a tough case to analyse. [Bug 1967691] [NEW] Ubuntu Studio will not install on VM with UEFI
Public bug reported: I tried to install Ubuntu Studio 22.04 Beta on both VirtualBox and VMware set for UEFI with GPT partitioning. I used the same settings that I have previously used to install Ubuntu Studio on both virtual machines and computers. I was also successful installing previous versions of Ubuntu Studio 22.04 (alpha versions) with the settings. When I try the install, I can click "Install Ubuntu Studio"; the screen then changes to a blank screen. My UEFI settings are: 512 Mb FAT32 boot, ~15 Gb root, ~25 Gb home. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967691 Title: Ubuntu Studio will not install on VM with UEFI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1967691/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
