[Bug 1767534] [NEW] package prelude-utils (not installed) failed to install/upgrade
Public bug reported: The following message came up on the crash report screen: package prelude-utils (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/etc/prelude/default/client.conf', which is also in package libprelude2v5 1.0.0-11.7ubuntu1 I have just upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I really don't know what this bug means, but after updating, it seems like a lot of things are crashing. This may had to do with the fact that my Ubuntu 18.04 upgrade was interrupted because I had to reboot after getting locked out of my computer during the upgrade. [Bug 1767534] Re: package prelude-utils (not installed) failed to install/upgrade
Actually, after reading the summary a bit more closely, I think the following two lines fixed the problem: sudo apt purge libprelude2v5 sudo apt install prelude-utils Sorry if this is not a very helpful bug report; it's just that making a bug report was suggested after the crash report came up, so I thought it was the appropriate course of action. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767534 Title: package prelude-utils (not installed) failed to install/upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libprelude/+bug/1767534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1836123] Re: Can Not Click Using Mouse Keys
I know this is a late response, but I figured out the issue. Apparently, when I updated to Ubuntu 18.04, the update was stopped in the middle and did not finish properly. I ran `sudo dpkg --configure -a` and rebooted, which fixed the Mouse Keys clicking problem. However, I am not exactly sure what package was the problem. Also, the mouse keys was a feature in the standard Settings; it was not something I custom-configured. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1836123 Title: Can Not Click Using Mouse Keys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1836123/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1725686] [NEW] Computer freezes when logging into Ubuntu 17.10 on Wayland
Public bug reported: When I first installed Ubuntu 17.10, I logged into Wayland and it worked fine. There were some minor issues, but it was still functional. However, I started screencasting my computer with Ctrl-Alt-Shift-R, but my computer became very slow and I decided to shut it down. I closed all applications before shutting it down, but forgot to stop the screencast. Now, when I try to log into Ubuntu 17.10 using Wayland, the screen goes gray and my cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen. I can't move my cursor at all and the desktop never actually loads. I can still transition to other ttys, though, by using the Ctrl-Alt-(F key) commands. However, logging into Ubuntu on Xorg or Unity still works fine. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1725686 Title: Computer freezes when logging into Ubuntu 17.10 on Wayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1725686/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
