[Bug 867803] Re: ubuntuone-installer crashed with UnicodeDecodeError in __init__(): 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 37: ordinal not in range(128)

2011-10-21 Thread Nicolas Bonnici
If you got this issue while doin a fresh install just type in a terminal

sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-control-panel

then

ubuntuone-control-panel-gtk

Ubuntuone will open directly on the GUI (not ubuntuone-installer) and
let you configure your account. If it's not a fresh install then i
advice you to totally remove all the ubuntuone packages then do this.

This worked for me under Oneiric (11.10) after a total reinstallation
due to a sync bug.

Same problem here in a fresh install of Kubuntu 11.04 stable. Return a
segmentation error, run correctly with sudo, i also have the package
geany-plugins installed for information.

Just switch to other theme for GTK+ based application, seems to be a
problem with the default gtk-oxygen bundle with KDE 4.6.

[Bug 655434] Re: Eclipse alters files on save

2010-10-19 Thread Nicolas Bonnici
I have the same issue while editing files with SFTP over Nautilus and
all my EDI (Geany, Gedit and also Eclipse). When i save the file weight
is 0ko and of course empty. That make me lost a lot of time to restore
backup over VIM in a shell.

I tested it with a fresh Ubuntu 10.10 stable release no extra package
with all my webserver with correct chmod/chown even in chmod 0777.
