Re: [Bug 1049645] Re: missing option to disable gnome-shell lock screen shield
This is ridiculous, the problem is I don't have the option to remove this stupid shield. I don't want it. I don't lock the screen on my home workstation, I don't see a need for it. When I wake my machine up I want the desktop, not a shield. [Bug 891115] Re: megasas driver - device goes to offline
This is not related to Xen. I'm running a small file server at home with Ubuntu Server 11.10 and an LSI MegaRAID 8480E controller and I've been getting the same errors and the card going offline randomly. Aside from the listed output above from syslog there's no errors or logs that can be taken of this problem. I have a theory I'm testing that it might be heat related. It's happened to me 3 times and the last two times it happened the heat sink on the controller was burning hot. I've applied new compound and added a small fan to it. I'll post back my results, it may take a couple days to fully test. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/891115 Title: megasas driver - device goes to offline To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-xen/+bug/891115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 891115] Re: megasas driver - device goes to offline
I think this boils down to heat issues. So far I've been going strong with no drop outs after applying some fresh heat sink compound and adding a small fan to the heat sink.
