[Bug 553945] [NEW] empathy doesn't properly disconnect.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Empathy fails to revoke the online status of any given jabber connection. I currently have multiple jabber logins with slightly varying ressources (Telepathy.) although empathy hasn't been running for several days. The problem that logins don't time out may be a problem related to the jabber server rather than empathy, but I have never before had such a problem, and also do not have this problem at the moment with "gajim". This does not seem to happen arbitrarily, as I tried to reproduce it, and it even happens when empathy disconnects normally (not just on abnormal termination or loss of net connectivity). Shortly after submitting the bug-report I stopped using ubuntu and therefore empathy, and forgot about the whole issue. I had the opportunity to run the current ubuntu version of empathy (2.30.1−0ubuntu1) again. The probability of a proper logoff is much higher if the connection persists for more than just a few seconds (20 seconds seem to be sufficient), but otherwise empathy still failes to logoff correctly. I hope this helps you find the problem. -- empathy doesn't properly disconnect. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/553945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
