[Bug 152171] Re: nautilus-cd-burner do not delete created image for copy disk
It is NOT fixed in Intrepid version (2.24.0-0ubuntu1). The temporary image file is not scheduled for removal. If iso is temporary and exists (i.e. operation was not cancelled) then it should be added to the temp file list (see attachment) so that it gets cleaned up properly on finalizing the copy operation. In the diff I fixed another poblem: toc_filename pointer was not initialized causing segfault if you selected image file as target but pressed cancel on the file chooser dialog. ** Attachment added: "Diff against 2.24.0-0ubuntu1" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/1593/diff.txt -- nautilus-cd-burner do not delete created image for copy disk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152171 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 206459] Re: print status doesn't update automatically
It does not work on Kubuntu Hardy KDE 3.5.9 (seems to be KDE4 only). On my machine the applet is informed about the job on the very first print: the applet tray icon disappears as soon as the job is completed. After that dbus does not seem to inform the applet that's why it is not refreshing and the icon remains on the tray and does not refresh until I manually refresh it. Very annoying bug. As a quick workaround I installed the gnome version. It is working properly however I got two tray icons on each print: one for the applet and one for the KJobViewer. [Bug 216235] [NEW] Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine Some of my apps have no taskbar button and after minimizing the app it can only be closed by killing the process. I'm on Kubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) with wine version 0.9.59-0ubuntu4. It seems that Gnome is also affected by this bug: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2008-April/031757.html There was a regression of systray icon and the fix was backported to Hardy since 0.9.60 will not be in it. The systray bug is described here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12362 Apparently this bug has been fixed in git (wine-0.9.59-250-g0b64b86) so this fix should be backported as well. [Bug 216235] Re: Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59
Based on the comments in the mailing lists I supposed that the bug has been fixed, but I was wrong. I have just checked out the entire Wine source tree with git and compiled it on a fresh Kubuntu Hardy (in VirtualBox), installed ImgBurn and experienced the same behaviour. Half of my applications in wine produce this behaviour but some of them not. It is even more interesting that I can make ImgBurn somehow go "out of focus": I start ImgBurn (I can drop down menus, the app is alive as it should). Then I try to open a project file and it makes the Imgburn window grey and after that I cannot activate it anymore, not even close it. The only way is to kill the process. If I start writing a disc, a dialog should be popped up, but instead the ImgBurn window becomes grey and I have to kill it again. -- Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216235] Re: Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59
I do not have comprehensive knowledge about wine so I simply guessed that the missing taskbar buttons problem may come from winex11.drv. I checked the diffs between 0.9.58 and 0.9.59 and noticed a potential reason. I commented out line 202-203 in winpos.c, built a new package. As far as I can tell this solved the problem. I can use all my wine apps again! This might be just an ugly hack since I do not see the reason behind adding these lines to the source. I can only hope that I could give you a hint about where to start. The uncommented lines: if (!(ex_style & WS_EX_APPWINDOW) && GetWindow( data->hwnd, GW_OWNER )) new_state |= (1 << NET_WM_STATE_SKIP_TASKBAR); -- Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 162736] growisofs buffer size does not respect bufsize option
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dvd+rw-tools When burning DVDs, growisofs is not honoring the --use-the-force-luke=bufsize:X option, allocating an internal ring buffer ridiculously small, so that DVD burning is affected by frequent buffer underruns (the speed drops from 8x to as low as 2x). The ring buffer is not of constant size: it varies for each burn, even though k3b informs -use-the-force-luke=bufsize:128M I checked the code myself and found out that from version 7 growisofs tries limit the buffer size to a maximum of 1/4 of the RAM. In the source _SC_AVPHYS_PAGES returns the number of available, really free memory pages, not the total number of memory pages. Linux tends to use all available memory with buffers and cache, and keep just a bare minimum of free pages during normal use. So, the code cuts the size of the buffer in half again and again until it is less or equal to 1/4 size of free memory (usually a few MB, 32 or 64 MB at most). Andy Polyakov (author of growisofs) did not answer my e-mail last year so I patched growisofs myself. Later Fedora applied the same patch I did before. I simply replaced _SC_AVPHYS_PAGES with _SC_PHYS_PAGES (total number of pages of physical memory in system). I have been using this modified growisofs for a year and no problem arised at all. A workaround is to go to System Settings/Appearance/GTK Styles and fonts and Set: Use another style - QtCurve.
