[Bug 66054] GTKFilChoser Does not Show Desktop and Home in a collapsed open file Window
Public bug reported: When saving a file in Firefox or GIMP (for example) and the save window appear collapsed and I "Browse Another Folders" is clicked, the "places" section does not show the Home or The Desktop (no text, no icon). this doesn't happen when the window shows up already uncollapsed (i.e opening a file). [Bug 62950] Re: Isolinux error message refers to non-existant CD2, needs changing
I'm triying to (re)-install Feisty in PC, what is weird is that I installed 6.10 using the Live-CD version without problem. My Hardware is modern, (I have a ASUS Motherboard with a AMD X2 3800+ and 1 GB in RAM) so I don't think it is (only) related to old hardware as some forums/webpages point out. -- Isolinux error message refers to non-existant CD2, needs changing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/62950 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 72378] Nautilus fails to browse windows network properly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Open nautilus and Go to network, Windows Network. The Workgrops should be listed there with their characteristics icons. Instead they appears as blank files (sometimes all of them, sometime just a part). And when I try to open it, a Window with the message: " Couldn't display smb:///xxx The Location is not a folder" appears. After refreshing the window or clicking to the icons, they change to the correct icons and become available. It also happens with the Machines in the Windows Network. This icon change seems random, sometimes it happens with all the items in the view, sometimes, whit only a few and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Please look at the screenshots. [Bug 60277] Re: Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one
I also have tested the package. It runs smoothly. The only problem I found was that a libc upgrade is necessary, I haven't had any problems. For the installation I downloaded just the dependencies (like 6 packages) and then I used dpkg. [Bug 64301] Re: Unable to unlock screen when using ldap
Hi. I've set up a network that use ldap auth and it is working perfectly in Ubuntu Dapper/Edgy. for the connection to the LDAP Server (OpenLDAP) the permission I user are: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 636 2006-07-28 09:36 /etc/ldap/ldap.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9107 2006-07-28 09:36 /etc/libnss-ldap.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9056 2006-07-28 09:37 /etc/pam_ldap.conf But none of these have a password for connecting. The password is stored in -rw--- 1 root root 15 2006-05-18 06:49 /etc/ldap.secret I think this is not a bug but a misconfiguration. -- Unable to unlock screen when using ldap https://launchpad.net/bugs/64301 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

from: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/bootcd/+bug/73818 "if I boot 6.0.10 desktop install CD, Gnome starts and gives me a total ripped up image with green stripes instead of a desktop.
