[Bug 263963] Re: [iwl*] intel drivers take overly long to associate to WPA for some hardware
I don't know if this can help in any way, but I manage to make it work my computer with the FON AP (wpa) simply rebooting the router everytime. I mean, if the router is fresh rebooted, the connection goes fine; otherwise the behavior is the same descripted in other comments. **personal interpretation** Maybe in the association time the router generates an integer to chyper stuff; if it is too high, then the computer doesn't understand (and keeps asking password). -- [iwl*] intel drivers take overly long to associate to WPA for some hardware https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263963 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 337019] Re: [Intrepid] screen goes black after upgrading to kernel 2.6.27-13-generic
@jose hevia & dan the man: well, I must say that this update was in intrepid-proposed and not in intrepid-main. It means that this kind of update was received only if you decided to turn on the "proposed" repository, wich is a repository of new software that should be ok but is still on testing. If you turn on this repository, you agree to test software for ubuntu. Be coscient of what you do when you turn on a repository! It may break down your computer. [Bug 282118] [NEW] italian localization doesn't set
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde-l10n-it In the system settings, I'm trying to set the italian language but the support seems to be incomplete. For example, only the menubar of some applications seems to be translated, others no. there are many experiments I have done to se the language correctly. First, I've tried to click on Install new language --> Italian and then on Select System Language, but no result. Also I've added my language on the top of the list. Then I noticed that the package kde-l10n-it is not selected to be installed, so I Installed it manually by myself, and as a result I get a "add language" with several italian items and several English items. As a result, only the apps with a custom localization file have all translated; the kde ones (like the games, or kate, or the menu, ...) still get stuck in english. I've waited some days before reporting it because I saw there were some works on the qt-language-selector. Maybe this occours for other languages. ** Affects: kde-l10n-it (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- italian localization doesn't set https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282118 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 337214] [NEW] upgrade to kernel 2.6.27-13 broke the system
Public bug reported: Today I upgraded my ubuntu via update-manager and there were some upgrades regarding the last kernel, the 2.6.27-13 one. There was all, modules, headers, backports and so on. I upgraded and than, on reboot, I couldn't use the system. It started loading, with the ubuntu splash screen, but when it comes out to start the gdm there was no response at all. I couldn't switch to other terminals neither see the boot log. So I'm back with kernel 2.6.27-12 right now. [Bug 348316] Re: Printer (HWModel Name) May Not Be Connected
Hi all. I can confirm that workaround in #22 works fine. I have a Samsung ML-2010 on ubuntu 9.04 32bit, with a Dell XPS m1330. I did the following: sudo usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp0 this outputs: GET_DEVICE_ID string: MFG:Samsung;CMD:GDI;MDL:ML-2010;CLS:PRINTER;STATUS:BUSY; So I did the commands cupsctl FileDevice=yes lpadmin -p ML-2010 -E -v file:/dev/usb/lp0 and the process that I had stuck in the queue was soon deleted, but not printed. So I sent to print another job and it went good. Obviously, I have only one printer connected to my computer. -- Printer (HWModel Name) May Not Be Connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/348316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
