Public bug reported: After upgrading the kernel from 2.6.x to 3.x.x i could not turn bluetooth on anymore with Fn+F3 or rfkill, dmesg says this when i do: acer_wmi: Get Current Device Status failed: 0xe1 - 0x0 My laptop is Acer TimelineX 3820TG with Bus 001 Device 020: ID 0cf3:3005 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth and the device actually works very fine, if it's turned up in windows and then I reboot into Ubuntu. [Bug 273742] Re: Pulseaudio over wifi stutters horribly
There is some good idea in pulseaudio ticket to implement some compression eg http://opus-codec.org/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273742 Title: Pulseaudio over wifi stutters horribly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pulseaudio/+bug/273742/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 907464] Re: top panel should not go over fullscreen window in multi-monitor case
Here we go. Eg. I use Virtualbox to have some fullscreen Win7 on laptop monitor and other things on top monitor. The problem is that experience isn't seamless. Well, with VBox it's only partially annoying but when I try to watch fullscreen video on one monitor and do something else on the other it is extremely frustrating issue. Maybe an option to have a top panel only on one display would be hack solution until it's fixed? ** Attachment added: "Here you can see an issue. Top panel is OVER fullscreen virtual machine." https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/907464/+attachment/3147156/+files/top%20panel%20bug.png ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 734908 Multimonitor - Unity is visible in fullscreen apps when using multimonitors -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/907464 Title: top panel should not go over fullscreen window in multi-monitor case To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/907464/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 714862] Re: Atheros AR3002 cannot be turned up/is not recognized.
I've got Acer TimelineX 3820TG with Atheros 3011 on Oneiric. Bluetooth worked fine all the time with 2.6.38 kernels but witht 3.x it doesn't. With ar3011-dkms_1.1ryu2.3_all.deb 3.0.0-15-generic - oneiric upstream - after boot - doesn't work - after hibernation - turns up fine 3.2.0.999-generic - from daily mainline ppa - after boot - doesn't work - after hibernation - crashes Without ar3011-dkms_1.1ryu2.3_all.deb 3.0.0-15-generic - oneiric upstream - after boot - doesn't work - after hibernation - turns up fine 3.2.0.999-generic - from daily mainline ppa - after boot - doesn't work - after hibernation - turns up fine And I've checked - btusb.ko doesn't even get inserted after boot, probably due to atheros left undetected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/714862 Title: Atheros AR3002 cannot be turned up/is not recognized. [Bug 714862] Re: Atheros AR3011 cannot be turned up/is not recognized.
Thanks for the fix. Actually my bug is https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41562 and that is stopping me from turning it up, not firmware ;) ** Bug watch added: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #41562 http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41562 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/714862 Title: Atheros AR3011 cannot be turned up/is not recognized. [Bug 714862] Re: Atheros AR3011 cannot be turned up/is not recognized.
Well, not that I'd tell you are wrong, Eric, but the problem isn't in linux kernel itself. To get AR3011 working by default I've just removed libmpt-runtime as in this bug report http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=641749 To be honest, actually I've got Acer TimelineX and acer_wmi got some complaints about device state, so I've rebooted into win7 and turned up my AR3011 -> reboot into Ubuntu, but with laptops without software switches like that shouldn't be the case. Now it works flawlessly again, without any custom kernels or dkms. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #641749 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=641749 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/714862 Title: Atheros AR3011 cannot be turned up/is not recognized.
