Just got home from work and wanted to test it. But you cleaned up the ppa :(
So I'm waiting for the upstream and will post here if the fix also works for me.

Hey no prob :)

green swamp soon ;)
So let's see... got a problem with the provided package.. its for hardy :(
But my hardy doesn't show the problem, it's the intrepid one.

Sorry but nope, it doesn't seem to change anything :(
Installed all the provided packages via dpkg --force-depends and doesn't have
cared about the liblame and libx264 warnings... but still green in livetv...
Got following warning from backend log

[Bug 289444] [NEW] Brightness Control on-screen display won't disappear

2008-10-26 Thread Metzelmaennchen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpi

Hello Supporters ;)
I've got a little problem with the on-screen display of the brightness control
in intrepid 8.10... it won't vanish :(
Also it doesn't update, it shows always the lowest state. Then the desktop
isn't responding.
Can click but doesn't show an action. I think the mouse is caputered in the
on-screen display ?

Can release it by switching to the console. Then it returns immediatly to the
desktop. I'm not pressing strg-alt-f7 to get back. It does it automatically.
Then the on-screen disappears and I can use the desktop again.
The funny things... the brightness itself changes like normal.
And the volume control works also perfectly.

Laptop is an
Dell Computer Corporation
Latitude X300
A10

with an Intel 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device.
Hitting the brigtness keys reports following
FN + Brightness up = XF86MonBrightnessUp
FN + Brightness Down = XF86MonBrightnessDown

[Bug 289444] Re: Brightness Control on-screen display won't disappear

2008-10-27 Thread Metzelmaennchen
Update 2008-10-27
As with todays update status, the on-screen display still won't disappear.
But when hitting the buttons fast, it updates. Hitting the key one time and
waiting a few seconds the on-screen display brightness bar grows to the max or
min value depending on decreasing/increasing brightness.

2008-10-06 Thread Metzelmaennchen
Sorry.. was two weeks on holidays and when I tried it today (I now not really
asap, but got no notification mail about an update !?), there was no such
package available any more.
The actual state is also still the same.
At the moment the version
0.21.0+fixes18379
is installed which shows the green screen :(

[Bug 259321] [NEW] green screen when switching to livetv in myth

2008-08-19 Thread Metzelmaennchen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mythtv

With Kernel 2.6.26 using livetv (analog bttv) in myth shows only a green
screen. Sound can be heared.
Other applications seem to work fine with analog video, like xawtv for example
(no green screen).

Switching back to the older 2.6.24 kernel from hardy doesn't show this
problem.

Tried on different backends, but they all show the same green screen.

Watching a dvd or so with myth doesn't show the green screen!!

Don't know which package brought it... but I can choose a classic
desktop without accelaration from gdm :) That's all I needed, I'm happy
again with the removed effects tab :) No longer needed (at least this
option should have been present before removing the tab but that another
story ;))!
