[Bug 1869280] [NEW] Plasma system settings app crashes when selecting Virtual Desktops menu item
Public bug reported: On Kubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa fresh installed using March 26th amd64 daily image and updated using Discover. [Bug 1869280] Re: Plasma system settings app crashes when selecting Virtual Desktops menu item
This appears only when switching using the navigation pane on the left side of systemsettings. Directly launching the Virtual Desktops dialog via KRunner or switching directly to it via the frequently used settings in systemsettings does not cause the crash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to systemsettings in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1869280 Title: Plasma system settings app crashes when selecting Virtual Desktops menu item To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemsettings/+bug/1869280/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1864631] Re: lubuntu 20.04 daily: qtpass reports "GnuPG not found"
I can replicate this and the fix for bug 1829693 might be slightly different as I found in settingsconstants.cpp on line 36: const QString SettingsConstants::gpgExecutable = "gpgExecutable"; Changing the value to read anything other than gpgExecutable allows qtpass to start without any issues on 20.04. Not exactly sure why this would be, as I can set it to "foo" or "gpg2Executable", either way it works. Setting SettingsConstants::gpgExecutable to "gpgExecutable" causes the following line 288 from qtpasssettings.cpp to show a blank path to gpg2 in Lubuntu 20.04: QString gpgExecutable = QtPassSettings::getGpgExecutable(Util::findBinaryInPath("gpg2")); -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1864631 Title: lubuntu 20.04 daily: qtpass reports "GnuPG not found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtpass/+bug/1864631/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1864631] Re: lubuntu 20.04 daily: qtpass reports "GnuPG not found"
There is no symlink called gpg2 on a stock system until the package gnupg2 is installed. When I ran the change in my previous post, I had gnupg2 installed, this is not the case on a fresh install of lubuntu. However, qtpasssettings.cpp could check for the binary gpg if it cannot find gpg2 and qtpass will start successfully without gnupg2 installed (around line 288 in qtpasssettings.cpp: QString gpgExecutable = QtPassSettings::getGpgExecutable(Util::findBinaryInPath("gpg2")); if(!QFile(gpgExecutable).exists()){ gpgExecutable = QtPassSettings::getGpgExecutable(Util::findBinaryInPath("gpg")); } This mimics a similar check in configdialog.cpp. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1864631 Title: lubuntu 20.04 daily: qtpass reports "GnuPG not found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtpass/+bug/1864631/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1943370] [NEW] i915 screen flicker
Public bug reported: The screen flicker started while booting into kernel image 5.8.0-63 and seems to happen on all the newer images. Image 5.8.0-55 doesn't flicker, and this is what is currently used. Bug #1939296 is similar, but the GPU hang is not in my dmesg output and versions before 5.8.0-55 all seem to work for me. The kernel code is big and I'm fairly new to it, but I did a git revert on c6f8062265d1529c3ce4cc18b9dc59fb73bcca0f, but had trouble trying to compile. https://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu- focal.git/commit/?h=hwe-5.8&id=c6f8062265d1529c3ce4cc18b9dc59fb73bcca0f $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Release:20.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: linux-image-5.11.0-34-generic 5.11.0-34.36~20.04.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.11.0-34.36~20.04.1-generic 5.11.22 Uname: Linux 5.11.0-34-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.18 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sun Sep 12 08:09:25 2021 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-07-03 (436 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20200423) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: linux-signed-hwe-5.11 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: linux-signed-hwe-5.11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal third-party-packages -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1943370 Title: i915 screen flicker To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-5.11/+bug/1943370/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
