[Bug 188380] [NEW] [Hardy] Eclipse applications show error "Could not initialize the application's security component"

2008-02-02 Thread Martin Heitzer (theravingsociety)
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eclipse

Eclipse applications (here: my manual installation of Azureus) show the
following error when starting:

"Could not initialize the application's security component. The most
likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile
directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write
restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is
recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you
continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application
behaviour when accessing security features."

After this, Azureus shows it's normal behaviour.

The problem can be fixed by creating the directory
$HOME/.mozilla/eclipse manually, so I think this is a bug in this
package.

[Bug 194883] [NEW] firefox crashes with SIGSEGV when trying to watch a flash video

2008-03-07 Thread Martin Heitzer (theravingsociety)
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3.0 beta crashes reproducably when I try to watch any flash video, e.g.
on Youtube.
This seems to be a beta 3 issue, as I have Swiftweasel 3.0 beta 2 installed as
a second browser - which uses exactly the same add-ons and plugins and doesn't
have this problems.
