No. Only the first entry (servicing /deb/ttyHS0) works. The other entry (ttyHS1) does make the modem connect (according to the LED on the modem), but doesn't get an IP. [Bug 282100] [NEW] Connection times out using hso driver
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager I have a USB dongle that works using the hso driver. If you try to make an internet connection just after plugging it in, it can take longer than network-manager's timeout. Because of this, n-m will think the connection has failed, while the modem thinks it's connected (this usually happens a few seconds after the default timeout, judging by the "connection" LED on the modem). If you wait a while before choosing the UMTS connection from the nm- applet menu, it works fine. I think increasing the timeout of the "AT_OWANCALL=%d,1,1" command from 10s to 15s or maybe even 20s would resolve the problem (though the race condition will still exist). ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: network-manager - I have an USB dongle that works using the hso driver. + I have a USB dongle that works using the hso driver.
