[Bug 1454112] Re: Group permissions not respected with "--manage-gids" enabled

[Bug 996738] [NEW] Java applications menu bar has wrong font color
Public bug reported: On Xubuntu 12.04 when Greybird theme is active in Xfce Settings manager -> Appearance all Java based applications have menu bar with wrong font color (white font color on gray background). [Bug 581838] Re: Manually created menu item in Gnome disappears from Gnome, Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit).after reboot
Just to point out that mentioned workaround doesn't work on some systems because LANG environment variable has uppercase letters on UTF8 part and menu cache file has lowercase letters in UTF8 part. For example: desktop.${LANG}.cache translates into: desktop.en_US.UTF-8.cache and system expects: desktop.en_US.utf8.cache cache file name (notice UTF8 and utf8 part). It is best to manually go to /usr/share/applications/ and to look for cache file to be sure about cache file name and to adjust part of workaround command accordingly, at least thats what I had to do on my lucid 32 bit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/581838 Title: Manually created menu item in Gnome disappears from Gnome, Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit).after reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-menus/+bug/581838/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 459445] Re: no sound // 3:3:1: cannot set freq 16000 to ep 0x86
Guys i wrote comment #14. I made bash script as a workaround for this problem and posted link to my workaround. Link in comment #16 is not valid so I will put valid link again: http://www.techytalk.co.cc/2010/07/logitech-e3500-webcam-and-cannot-set- freq-16000-to-ep-0x86/ My script starts at the end of boot process and checks last 30 lines of /var/log/kern.log. If it founds more than 3 occurrences of “cannot set freq 16000 to ep 0×86″ it removes kernel module snd-usb-audio form kernel and plugs it back again. Script can be modified for your error that pops up in kern.log and you can put your solution if removing snd- usb-audio doesn't work. This problem should really get some attention. We don't need new theme every Ubuntu release or new set of icons. Yes. My dirty script rmmod-s and modprobe-s snd-usb-audio module when it detects troubles and then things work again, until system restart. Without snd-usb-audio users webcam mic is not working. In fact any usb audio device won't work if you blacklist snd-usb-audio.
