[Bug 55172] gksu dies on first run
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gksu Running an app that uses gksu fails the first time it is tried after starting the system (gksu and the app both appear on the taskbar for a bit and then both vanish without windows appearing). Running the app again immediately after and the gksu window & greyout effect appears immediately. version 1.9.1-2ubuntu1 on edgy ** Affects: gksu (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- gksu dies on first run https://launchpad.net/bugs/55172 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 50731] Re: nmblookup and mount.smbfs fail in edgy
Mount also fails for me on edgy with the same error message. smfs 3.0.22-1ubuntu4 kernel 2.6.17-5 686 -- nmblookup and mount.smbfs fail in edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/50731 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 31706] Re: All updates show up as "Not Authenticated" when only one is.
I get the same behaviour on Edgy when using the wine packages in my sources list. Often solved simply by rechecking for updates which then leaves only wine itself as unsigned (which is the expected behaviour). update-manager 0.44.4 ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Needs Info => Confirmed -- All updates show up as "Not Authenticated" when only one is. https://launchpad.net/bugs/31706 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 31706] Re: All updates show up as "Not Authenticated" when only one is.
Further investigation when this popped up again shows the same behavior using apt from the command line, suggesting that is where this bug lies. (This time there is also no wine package in the updates to be installed). Again, running "apt-get update" to refresh the lists solves the problem and all packages are detected as signed. apt 0.6.45ubuntu5 -- All updates show up as "Not Authenticated" when only one is. https://launchpad.net/bugs/31706 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88605] Re: gnome-panel crashes in _cairo_pen_find_active_cw_vertex_index() when opening menu
The icon theme is "eXperience", changing it back to the standard GNOME theme does make the error go away. I've attatched the SVG file which I think the shortcut is using (which seems to cause the same error with Nautilus as the .desktop file). I'm afraid I'm not quite sure how to get the other information they want - I'll have a go if they can explain a bit further. Hope this all helps, and thanks again. ** Attachment added: "Gnome-Screenshot icon from eXperience theme" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6722918/gnome-screenshot.svg -- gnome-panel crashes in _cairo_pen_find_active_cw_vertex_index() when opening menu https://launchpad.net/bugs/88605 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88605] gnome-panel crashes when opening menu
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel After upgrading from edgy to feisty the gnome panel crashes whenever the Accessories menu is accessed. I have tracked this down to being caused by the gnome-screenshot.desktop launcher (Attatched. This file also crashes nautilus and the menu editor). Can someone else confirm this with the attatched file? ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- gnome-panel crashes when opening menu https://launchpad.net/bugs/88605 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 61662] Re: Wacom Volito 2 tablet doesn't work
That error is because your kernel doesn't match the version the module was compiled against. I've included the module I compiled from the stable sources (0.7.6-4) against the 2.6.17-10-386 sources which works with my 2.6.17-11-386 kernel (for which I can't find the sources). ** Attachment added: "wacom.ko for 2.6.17-11-386" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6460749/wacom.ko -- Wacom Volito 2 tablet doesn't work https://launchpad.net/bugs/61662 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 61662] Re: Wacom Volito 2 tablet doesn't work
** Description changed: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-8-generic + Still present in 2.6.17-11-386. The /dev/input/wacom symbolic link is created properly when the tablet is connected, but cat-ing it while moving the stylus doesn't show any output. Compiling the wacom.ko kernel module from http://linuxwacom.sf.net/ and installing it in /lib/modules/ instead of the Edgy's original module solves this. -- Wacom Volito 2 tablet doesn't work https://launchpad.net/bugs/61662 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
