[Bug 148511] Re: /bin/arch command missing in Gutsy and Hardy

2009-02-05 Thread Mark C. Mason
Daniel, you're absolutely right. I'm trying to install Xilinx ISE 10.1 tools
under
Ubuntu, and it failed because of no /bin/arch. More work and apparently
more job security for me, but it detracts from what I am trying to do.

It is this kind of "My crap doesn't stink" attitude that has repeatedly
steered me
away from MS products. We certainly don't need it in UN*X.

[Bug 892907] Re: Gnomine is lagging hard, not playable.

2012-10-07 Thread Mark C. Mason
> - this is not a show stopper however!

Unfortunately, that's pure Bull-youknowwhat. Here's why:

1. People who like to play it, play against the clock. No way to approach old
scores.
2. It's just not fun any more.

Fix it. Or let it die a natural death.

2012-10-09 Thread Mark C. Mason
Ah! Yes - don't hold up all of Ubuntu.
;-)

I had just updated to 12.04 when the slow--bug turned up.
I can update.

Thanks,
Mark
