[Bug 1297849] Re: [SRU] Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files
Had the same problem on 15.04. I manually add the route but in 15.04 NM seems to be changed and no longer works. What I did instead is to add the manual route normally but changed the gateway (routes -> gateway) to 0.0.0.0 , that worked for me. I hope it can help you too. Additionally, you can try change the route to something like: sudo ip r a 10.0.0.0/8 dev ppp0 - this also worked for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297849 Title: [SRU] Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1297849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1452015] [NEW] Invalid SSL caused by outdated nss-updatedb
Public bug reported: I've done some research regarding this issue and the result pointed to an outdated nss-updatedb database. The expected behaviour: Green padlock on SSL generated using SHA-2 on Chrome. The problem: Using Chrome, the browser display invalid SSL (red lock and crossed https). When clicking on details, it says that the connection is secure and encrypted. The certificate is SHA-2, and as far as I understand the problem occurs in Chrome when the certificate was generated using SHA-1, but this is not the case. I had this problem on Mint, but as soon as I've installed nss-updatedb the SSL was valid again. Now on Ubuntu 15.04, the problem is back (didn't happen on 14.04). Description:Ubuntu 15.04 Release:15.04 nss-updatedb: Installed: 10-3 Candidate: 10-3 Version table: *** 10-3 0 500 http://ro.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: nss-updatedb (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1452015 Title: Invalid SSL caused by outdated nss-updatedb To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nss-updatedb/+bug/1452015/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1297849] Re: Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files
Any update on this ? It's very frustrating to be needed to logout every single time I want to connect to the VPN. I can't believe how indifferent are the devs about fixing such a basic, needed functionality of an operating system. Because of simple things like this that don't work as expected people that are willing to switch to Linux simply quit trying. It's very frustrating. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297849 Title: Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1297849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1297849] Re: [SRU] Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files
We all appreciate your work Pavel. One question tho: I've added your PPA and ran the upgrade, now I see: Source: network-manager-applet Version: 0.9.10.1-0ubuntu5~fixed In your comment the version is 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu4.4~fixed . What is different in 0.9.10.1-0ubuntu5~fixed ? Since is not working (only works if I logout then login again).
