[Bug 1768003] [NEW] nvidia-prime is no longer able to turn off the discrete GPU
Public bug reported: Since updating to Ubuntu 18.04 from 17.10, the discrete GPU is no longer turned off. I see since https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia- prime/+bug/1757180 the way to turn off the discrete GPU has been changed, I suppose that's what caused the regression. I've seen that the desktop file in /usr/share/applications contains the "New Window" shortcut, so the problem is only the downloads' progress bar. Also, is it possible to make the windows previews be always in the same position? I think this bug is really important. Using an application with many windows open (like the browser) is really awful with current Unity.
