[Bug 245217] [NEW] on hibernating ilogical images appears on the screen
Public bug reported: In first place sorry for my english, it's not very good. I'm using the version 8.04 from the Ubuntu for PC, installed with the Live CD. When I have a opened session and give order to hibernate such order is done. While the computer is hibernating the screen is shown in black, so I suposse what I should wait in every hibernation process (and maybe be a good idea that appears a message who tells something like "hibernating", such in other OS). Nevertheless, if I order to hibernate from the Ubuntu's menu(where you can log in) then appears something ilogical. It seems to be always two images that are swapping constantly. I've done several times and in all this times always was the same two images. In the functional side, there's no problem, but... it's a not very nice looking, or pretty printing. It makes you think that there's something that is not working well, what it's false. If somebody wants to see by himself only have to do this steps: 1.- Turn on Ubuntu. 2.- On the menu, select options --> hibernate. P.D.: I'd like to suggest a posible explanation to the problem: Ubuntu maybe use the procedure of the swapping buffers to print on screen(like use also OpenGL). Before hibernating the system don't draw in black the screen, like when from a session something gives order to hibernate. The images that are shown are the finally state of the buffers.
