[Bug 262806] Re: [Intrepid regression] No sound with OSS after upgrade
...and it didn't. After a reboot today I've discovered that the sound levels are completely garbled in Intrepid. The ossxmix mixer has the volume slide turned all the way up, but still only produces the same sound levels as they did when they were turned halfway up in hardy. This (I guess) leads to that when I play music in Banshee, I get a lot of noise in the music (the kind of noise that you usually get when you try to push the volume levels beyond their borders) - however, I had no such problem in Hardy, so this is definitely a regression. [Bug 197773] Re: Can't boot KDE, kicked to BusyBox instead
Hi James After a long nights sleep I tried again today, and suddenly there was no more BusyBox! Since I haven't touched my computer since yesterday, I have no idea what happened. However, I am now presented with a new error message. To avoid cluttering up Launchpad, I have opened a new bug about it: bug 197958 . I guess this bug is invalid now -- Can't boot KDE, kicked to BusyBox instead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197773 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 63352] Re: Creative labs X-Fi sound card unsupported
OSS 4.0 Build 1013 (released recently) apparently contains basic support: http://4front-tech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7485#7485 Binaries: http://www.opensound.com/download.cgi Source: http://developer.opensound.com/sources/ Apparently only basic playback works, but still better than silence, right?
