[Bug 558378] Re: Please blacklist ATI XPRESS 1250 from Kernel mode-setting

2010-06-05 Thread Madis
My xpress 1250 started to work with KMS with the latest kernel (2.6.35
RC1) (haven't tried 2.6.33 nor 2.6.34, though). There were some issues
though - glxgears (or games like AlienArena) showed artifacts (and one
maybe not related to graphics card - wifi didn't connect very well).

[Bug 430569] Re: software-store crashed with IOError in _accept_connection()

2009-09-17 Thread Madis
Seems to happen with any installable application in software-store. The
software-store itself won't crash however and the application will also
be installed.

Weird was however that if I closed the software-store afterwards, aptitude
crashed and my Internet was gone :S
The last part might have been random.

[Bug 641073] Re: sound driver for hp dc7600 ultra slim not functioning in any linux version

2011-01-13 Thread Madis
Morning mates! That package ended my 4 weeks of soundless misery! I'm
too using HP dc7600 Ultra Slim and Maverik. I've been trying every
singel thing that had a look like it might make sense, so i don't know,
what was that extra little something that made this package worke for
me. I'm a bit of a dumbuser too so if i could do something to help you,
you'll have to show me what and how.

My last week issues have been Maveriks inability to remember what
soundcard i'm useing (ALC260) and connecting to it. It showed activity
on PAV meter, but 'till now, not a sound.

[Bug 879790] Re: Sound doesn't play properly after upgrade from 11.04->11.10

2012-03-27 Thread Madis Allikmaa
For example playing a flash video from Youtube, when it is visible in
the browser window then the distortion is very noticeable, but when I
scroll down so that the video is out of the view, then the distortion is
a lot less pronounced.

Just by scrolling around at any page the distortion gets worse during
the scrolling.

[Bug 879790] Re: Sound doesn't play properly after upgrade from 11.04->11.10

2012-03-27 Thread Madis Allikmaa
Also when I run Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 from a live USB then the sound is
fine, but when I made a clean install onto the HDD then the sound
problem is still there.

This distorted sound issue is also seemingly having effect on the system
responsiveness. On the HDD installation sometimes clicks don't register
and keys get stuck (system doesn't register that the key was released).
All in all it is a pretty annoying experience running Ubuntu at the
moment.
