I hope my attachment shows the bug clearly (it's a photo from digital camera). I have this problem too but I can't reproduce it every time I launch Evince according described steps. It happens only sometimes. Another workaround is moving icon of application within Launcher to another position. I have put 'os.environ["SDL_VIDEO_X11_WMCLASS"] = "name of .desktop file"' to my Python code (before pygame.init() statement) and created .desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications. It works fine for my game now. Thanks for your advice - it helped my game to look better in Unity. It would be better to implement this in Pygame of course. I can't suggest better solution for this. There are some bugs related to this one: Bug #668196, Bug #656519 and its "duplicates". It looks that it's suggested to remove right-click menu from title of non-maximized window in Bug #656519. The only way how to access the menu should Alt+Space shortcut according bug description. I have still same problem in Ubuntu 10.10. It happens in various applications using tabs (Nautilus, Gedit, Firefox) when I have Compiz enabled. Titlebar is also correctly refreshed when it's covered by another window or by some menu. I have Intel graphics card on Acer Extensa 5220. Hi, Titlebar works well when I change Window manager from Compiz to Metacity using Compiz Fusion Icon. I think that Compiz doesn't redraw titlebar in mentioned case sometimes. Titlebar can be redrawn in the ways mentioned above. When non-redrawn titlebar is covered with Gnome menu (and then uncovered), only part of titlebar where the menu (and its shade) was, is redrawn. You probably have meant your uploaded ogv video, haven't you? I haven't figured it out for the first time. I can see whole video with upper part in Firefox 3.6.13. When I have seen this video I'm sure I have same problem. Compiz should redraw titlebar when window loses focus but it doesn't do it every time. I got used for back and forward buttons when I had bought a mouse with them. These buttons should have numbers 8 and 9. I would like to use them in Software Center too. I would like to have possibility to switch windows using Super + something. Super + arrows isn't bad, I even tried it intuitively if this works. However Super + Tab and Super + Shift + Tab for switching forward and backward could be good too, because you can use only one hand if you have only one Super key on notebook keyboard. I think this combination have similar function in Windows XP. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity When I launch an application written in Python with Pygame modules (python-pygame), an icon labeled "Python (v2.7)" appears in Unity launcher instead of an icon of launched application. When I put application to launcher and run application again using icon from the launcher, a window of Gnome Terminal with Python interpreter is launched. I test this with my own Pygame application (https://launchpad.net /noctua-vagus), Pygame example application (/usr/lib/python2.7/dist- packages/pygame/examples/chimp.py) and game from Ubuntu Software Center (lightyears). I believe that Unity itself should take care about this matter. Another possibility could be modification of Pygame apps. But I don't know how. Same problem here. I have launched Evince in terminal and tried to do described action. I have packages in newly added attachment. I don't have another packages. I haven't installed any packages manually. Everything has been installed during upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04. Same problem with bad window position here. But mentioned applications unmaximize in my case. I only can't unmaximize by double-clicking on top edge of the screen. I have to double-click little lower on menu-bar.
