[Bug 242926] Re: Incorrect date in firefox for 'America/Caracas' timezone

2009-01-03 Thread Luis Daniel Ibáñez
Hi all,

This thing was documented in an apple forum soon after the timezone
change (almost exactly one year ago)
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6399776

the nspr guys were into it also:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411726

They seem to make a patch, but i don't know in which version they packed
it. Actual NSPR version is 4.7.3, ubuntu hardy is 4.7.1~beta2-0ubuntu1,
and has not been touched since april, way back the patch.

Can you check with nspr people in which version is packed the patch and
bring it to Hardy?, the impact that this haves in gmail is killing me.

Thanks in advance!

I add that, in the release notes of 4.7.2 and 4.7.3 there is no mention
to the solving of this bug =( so maybe they haven't make it yet.

Going to exert some pressure at their bugzilla :P

nspr people just released a patch in nightly snapshot, what is the
procedure to make it available over here?

[Bug 225360] Re: resize2fs asks to run 'e2fsck -f', even if you already did so

2009-02-21 Thread Luis Daniel Ibáñez
Got the same error while trying to shrink my windows partition and add
the extra space to my hardy's /

Indeed, there are a lot of hardy install cds with an outdated gparted
(mine was 0.3.5), so if you catch yourself in a middle of a resizing and
got this, maybe this may help you:

1. Open a terminal from your liveCD, and then:
 > sudo su
 > resize2fs -f /dev/xxx

where xxx is the code of the troublesome partition.

Usually, you shouldn't force resizing, but provided that e2fsck went all
ok, it worksaround the problem.

As Raf, i think that the problem is with the checking in resize2fs, dont
know if gparted people fixed that or did the force in its script.

The actual Hardy LiveCD gets shipped with the last gparted? i think i
need a new one (i need to stick with the LTS)

Theodore: If you say it, i believe :)

Anybody knows where can i ask the backport detail? I know i can have a
separate gparted liveCD, but i think that it makes sense to have as much
tools as possible in one disk, especially in the LTS.

[Bug 841956] [NEW] Latexila doesn't open and crashes Dbus

2011-09-05 Thread Luis Daniel Ibáñez
Public bug reported:

Natty Narwhal
latexila 2.0.6-1

Started latexila from application menu, nothing happened, checked with
top and saw that it is consumming 100% CPU, killed it and started it
from Console. After some minutes, the following error appeared:

** (latexila:1786): CRITICAL **: DBus AddMatch for dconf path
'/apps/latexila/':
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection
":1.99" is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in
configuration file if required)

** (latexila:1786): CRITICAL **: DBus AddMatch for dconf path
'/apps/latexila/preferences/':
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection
":1.99" is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in
configuration file if required)

** (latexila:1786): CRITICAL **: DBus AddMatch for dconf path
'/apps/latexila/preferences/editor/':
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection
":1.99" is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in
configuration file if required)

Thought could be a dbus issue, but after a safe-upgrade, it is still not
working.
