[Bug 128798] Can't connect to Network shares via fstab
Public bug reported: I did search for this, even posted on forums, but I can't find a fix so assuming this is a bug. I have both Ubuntu 6.06 LTS and 7.04 and both have this problem. I'm trying to connect my linux boxes to my Windows file server. I can do this at the cmd line with no problem, but it refuses to work when I put the line in /etc/fstab Why? Ubuntu forum thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=268247 sudo mount //192.168.1.1/fileshare /home/leona/network -o username=files,password=xxx,fmask=777,dmask=777 Works but //192.168.1.1/fileshare /home/leona/network/smbfs username=files,password=xxx,gid=100,uid=1000,fmask=777,dmask=777 0 Dones't On a Suse box this works, but not on Ubuntu, is this a bug? At the moment I'm using a workaround by triggering a script on startup to mount the connections, but why can't I do this in fstab? I thought it might be fixed in 7.04, but no I get the same problem. Yep, if I unmount it, and remount it using the cmd you gave, it does remount it, Talking to a few of my more knowledgeable friends, they seem to think it could be the fstab is read before a network connection is established, could this be right? Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird I am visually impaired so I use a res of 1024x780 with large (16pt) fonts, works well for me. I was just using thunderbird and I needed to add a contact, the contact screen comes up, but the OK and Cancel buttons are off the bottom of the screen, as is a good part of the last lot of fields. Just thought I'm mention it, maybe someone to pass that into along to the mozila devs or something? [Bug 573101] Re: No video signal after "Log out" in gnome when multiple users
@Igor Wojnicki I got 195 when I switched the driver from 173 to 'latest version' in the hardware driver dialogue, (under the Administration menu) doing that, downloaded and installed the driver itself, you then press Activate, then restart your computer. You can then check the version by opening the terminal and typing 'nvidia-settings'. I does not appear as 195 in the drivers dialogue, it just shows as 'latest version' (why they couldn't add the version number here is beyond me). There is no need to look into the ubuntu repos, I can only assume its downloaded from a Nvidia repo, not Ubuntu's? (I'm only guessing here, as like you say, its not in the Ubuntu ones). [Bug 1935083] [NEW] Universal Access / Magnification / Zoom tracking problem

Problem: Firstly, if on a dialogue screen, for example settings, and you moved the mouse, to view another part of the box, t would snap back to the centre, it didn't seem to matter what tracking option I selected, it did the same. Expectation: I would expect the zoom area to remain focused on the mouse pointer, unless I hit a key if focused on a text box or other action button. Hi Paul. Gosh was that almost 4 years ago, well now on 24.04 and yes the problem still exists, it seems a little more intermittent now, it will start to follow the text cursor then stop until the arrow key is pressed, then it comes back, then stops again, then it'll fly off to a random part of the screen and I have to drag it back again. Anyway I've run the command you posted, I can't see how to change the status of this ticket to 'new' however, it's a bit busy, so I've probably not found the right button get. Thanks for taking a look at this and helping to improve the accessibility of this otherwise great OS. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1935083 Title: Universal Access / Magnification / Zoom tracking problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1935083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
