[Bug 1765422] Re: hr_HR locale file has wrong thousands separator

2018-04-19 Thread Krešimir Kovačević
Hi Gunnar,

Thanks on detailed info.
I will contact Dragan Stanojević as you suggested.

FYI:
My background for changing " " => "." as thousands separator:

All CNB (Croatian National Bank) reports has . as thousands separator
(www.hnb.hr).
All receipts that you will see in Croatia has . as thousands separator.
All banking apps use . as thousands separator (just checked few random banks).
Just browsed through Croatian Constitution, again ".".
Croatian Ministry of Finance use ".".
And most unpopular reason that I can think of: Windows 10 (and all previous
versions) has "." as thousands and "," for decimal separator (numeric and
monetary). You just forced me to find pc with windows :D

I do not know from where " " as thousands separator comes from.

Krešimir

[Bug 1943847] [NEW] virsh migrate with LVM volume as disk fails

2021-09-16 Thread Krešimir Kovačević
Public bug reported:

Live migration with:
virsh migrate --live --verbose --persistent --copy-storage-all --undefinesource
--domain test-vm --desturi qemu+ssh:///system

fails when machine have one of disk created as volume in LVM group.

Tested in two scenarios with test-vm:
1) Only one disk as qcow2 image: migration works OK
2) Two disks: first qcow2 image, second LVM volume: migration fails as
described above

Tested on fresh installation of Ubuntu 20.04.3.
Storage configuration on source and target machine is identical (double
checked).

[Bug 1943847] Re: virsh migrate with LVM volume as disk fails

2021-09-17 Thread Krešimir Kovačević
Hi,

Attached you can find LVM and VM configurations.
I did post error message. It is:
"error: internal error: cannot precreate storage for disk type 'block'".

... and some good news:
As I described problem occurs when VM has raw disk backed by LVM.
In my test case it was "/dev/mapper/vg1-test--vm".
If this volume does not exist on target machine migration fails with:
"error: internal error: cannot precreate storage for disk type 'block'"

When LV with same name, location and size exists on target machine migration
works OK.
Prior to migration I have created same LV on target machine and executed virsh
migrate and that worked.

For some reason LV on target machine can not be auto created during migration.
I do not know if this is intended behavior or minor bug.

Thanks on quick response.

BR,
Krešimir

[Bug 1943847] Re: virsh migrate with LVM volume as disk fails

2021-09-20 Thread Krešimir Kovačević
Hi Christian,

I agree. It works as expected.
As you said it is stated on the man page that images must exist on same
location on destination host.

It just confused me because migration without image on destination host
really works in case of qcow2 image.

Krešimir
