[Bug 969981] [NEW] Graphics freeze after awake

2012-03-31 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

After recent update on 12.04 (also I removed my manually-installed
touchpad-specific drivers since fresh kernel supports it) when I put my
laptop to sleep and then awake graphics freeze.

Before that, when I woke up laptop it asked for password, now it goes
blank (black screen). I disabled screensaver after awake, but now I see
image I saw before asleep (browser), mouse moves and even cursor changes
when I move it to text areas, but everything else is frozen.

[Bug 980782] [NEW] Could not locate object -- and cannot regenerate link

2012-04-13 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

I shared couple of ogg-files with my friends. Then I saw that I forgot
to write some metainfo in there (Author and Album fields), so I changed
it.

Now I am still able to "copy link" for those files, for example
http://ubuntuone.com/43XtCUv2CpLvJbOczCF5wB
But when you go there it writes "Could not locate object". So I tried to
re-publish one of files, I pressed "stop publishing" in file menu. It stopped
being published, but this file's "Ubuntu One" submenus are inactive, so I
cannot even try to re-publish it.

[Bug 1001174] [NEW] Better positioning of windows on external monitor plug out.

2012-05-18 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

Hi!

Every day when I come to work I plug in my external monitor, and after
that, I plug it out, so that later at home I only use my laptop's
monitor. And every day I have to do some additional job, because after
unplugging my external monitor some windows get into my second desctop
(which I never use).

Example: when your big external monitor is plugged, put chat on right side of
it. Then unplug external monitor.
Results: your chat window on your smaller laptop is on the "right"
workspace/desktop.
Expected results: your chat window on your smaller laptop is on the same
workspace/desktop as it was before, maybe with the same relative
percent-padding from top-left corner.

Hope it's possible. Thanks!

[Bug 1055124] [NEW] Keyboard layout on installation in russian

2012-09-23 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

Hi! Here's the problem:

1. Boot in Ubuntu install CD. Choose "Russian" as language. Choose "install"
(on right).

2. Nothing interesting, move on
http://screencloud.net/v/iYo3

3. Move on
http://screencloud.net/v/hOH8

4. City selection screen. I want to choose "Kiev" (Ukraine), but keyboard types
in Russian.
I want to switch to English, but Alt+Shift doesn't do the job and there's no
language indicator

Proposed solution:
Add language indicator that has chosen language + english (just in case).

[Bug 1055124] Re: Keyboard layout on installation in russian

2012-09-24 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Oh, I missed that one, sorry. So, are these are still valid?

1. display language indicator.
2. add english to default for russian language (since later you will want to
input your user and password in english)

[Bug 1033927] [NEW] Make better search relevance by counting installations

2012-08-07 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

The specific example is this http://screencloud.net/v/kQcT

When I search for VirtualBox basically first two results are very
similar, but second one seems to be the right one because it has icon
and it has more rates (or what's the 126 counter about?).

[Bug 1022558] [NEW] gnome-disk-utility is old and unsopported version with bugs

2012-07-09 Thread Konstantine Rybnikov
Public bug reported:

I found a bug (that seems to happen to other users, but they all just go
and use GParted for their task, so noone reported it :) in gnome-disk-
utility and posted it upstream
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=679547 , but it seems version
shipped with Ubuntu 12.04 is not supported anymore.

I'd suggest to update gnome-disk-utility to supported branch.

Thanks!
