[Bug 987986] Re: Cannot browse files via bluetooth on Android device

2012-11-22 Thread Kent T.
Recently tested, on 12.10 this problem lives on.
If I may add a similar problem to this bug, you're also not able to send any
data to any devices.
Besides, I tried to connect and pair with another notebook with (x)ubuntu
running on it.
Like the description for this bug, you can't browse the other system or send
anything to it.

Various tries on my behalf leads to the assumption, that the "obex-data-
server" ist at fault, because this particular piece always crashes, if
trying to send anything.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

[Bug 489830] Re: Settings of gpointing-device-settings are non-persistent

2011-10-30 Thread Kent T.
Me to, in Xubuntu 11.10 Oneiric the settings of gpointing-device-
settings will be forgotten with restart (or standby).

A little workaround, which works fine here, is to add the configuration to
"/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf".
Inside 'Section "InputClass"', you can make vital configurations like activate
"PalmDetect" or "SHMConfig". They'll after restart (or standby).

It seems, that the file can vary in "20-thinkpad.conf" (post above) or
"50-synaptics.conf" (most hardware), depends on your hardware.

[Bug 796076] Re: When run as root [gksudo gedit ] gedit tries to open a 2nd 'untitled document 1'

2011-10-30 Thread Kent T.
The strange thing is, unlike the duplicate Bug #838404 says, it ONLY
happens with "gksudo", anything else like "sudo", "su" or without this
works fine without the annoying "new document 1". My notice on Xubuntu
11.10 Oneiric.

2011-10-30 Thread Kent T.
I have to correct myself from before, it's like the Bug #838404, with
"gksu" or/and "gksudo".
