[Bug 340390] [NEW] CompizConfig Setting Manager Segfaults after 8.2 update

2009-03-10 Thread Josh Ancill
Public bug reported:

Running an up to date Jaunty install. Installed the new compiz
8.2-0ubuntu2 packages and notice now after launch ccsm for a short
period of time (seconds) it will segfault.

me...@umempf:~$ ccsm
GConf backend: attempt to read unsupported setting type 11!

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I notice the version on ccsm is still 7.8-0ubuntu3. Maybe this need
updating or at least to be rebuilt to the new compiz.

Thank You.

[Bug 317127] Re: evtouch calibrate tool does not detect mouse position

2009-03-11 Thread Josh Ancill
I am having pretty much the exact same issue as reported in this bug
except all taps go to the bottom right corner for me.

I have a HP tx1000. I will try the PPA packages soon and report back.

Thanks!

[Bug 326744] [NEW] remote volume monitor causing system to hang

2009-02-07 Thread Josh Ancill
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs

I have been using jaunty for a while now on my laptop and decided to
install it on my desktop as well.

All ubuntu partitions are ext4.

I have been noticing after the desktop has been running for some amount
of time some programs or windows involving accessing drives through gvfs
begin to hang for ~30s before opening.

This is most evident when opening gnome-system-monitor via command line.
The following is produced:

(gnome-system-monitor:14548): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **:
invoking IsSupported() failed for remote volume monitor with dbus name
org.gtk.Private.GPhoto2VolumeMonitor:
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible
causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message
bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the
network connection was broken.

Also in gnome-system-monitor clicking on the file systems tabs will
cause it to hang indefinitely.

All is fixed upon a restart for a while. Maybe something in gvfs is
crashing over time?

I will be glad to provide more information as required.
