[Bug 301140] Re: flash can't access microphone
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/releasenotes_64bit.html#install "General webcam and microphone functionality is not enabled. (239246)". Maybe that's it? FWIW I have the same issue on a HP 6730b. [Bug 301140] Re: flash can't access microphone
- apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree - download libflashplayer-10.0.d21.1.linux-x86_64.so.tar.gz from the adobe site - put the .so in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins - and restarting firefox worked for me. Assume the phone book to be 2” thick: 1 fold (1f) = 2 x previous thickness. 1f = 4” 2f = 8” 3f = 16” 4f = 32” 5f = 64” … 33f = 17179869180” = 271,147 miles Distance from the earth to the moon = 238,906 miles. It’s based on geometric growth, so you can produce a formula that would give you the height of the resulting folds with the variables being the thickness of the phone book and the number of folds. t0 = original thickness of phone book f = number of folds h = height of phone book after folds EQ: h = t0*(2^f) So for 33 folds: h = (2)*(2^33) = 17179869180” Okay, I’m done now. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager Wifi worked out of the box with Lubuntu 9.10, Ubuntu 9.10. After upgrading to Lubuntu 10.04 it's broken. The network is visible, so there's no hardware problem. Tried a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04, still broken. When trying to connect to Wifi, a password is asked, and after correctly entering it, it fails. On the web it's suggested somewhere that resetting the BIOS defaults and completely powering off the machine would help (it didn't). Here's the relevant part of /var/log/messages (I've replaced the actual SSID name with "$MY_SSID"), the output of apport-cli -f -p network- manager is attached (with the same SSID replacement). ** Jul 13 15:12:18 eee NetworkManager: Activation (wlan0) Stage 1 of 5 (Device Prepare) scheduled... Someone (thanks Treenaks :) ) pointed me to a workaround, set the AP to WPA-TKIP. [Bug 1973264] [NEW] when switching to another workspace, focus is lost
Public bug reported: Good morning, Since upgrading to 22.04 there is an annoying bug when switching to another workspace. After the switch to one of the other workspaces, the desktop has the focus, instead of an application window. Until now, the window that most recently had focus on that workspace, would get the focus again, which I would consider normal behaviour. This bug leads to confusing (sometimes funny) situations, like - me switching to another WS - press ctrl A to select all text in the window I assume is active - nothing seems to happen, but (not visible for me) everything on the desktop is selected - better not press Del now :) Best, Joolz. P.S. I hope I filed this in the right section, not sure which framework causes this ** Affects: gnome (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1973264 Title: when switching to another workspace, focus is lost To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome/+bug/1973264/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1969598] Re: no auto-focus application after workspace switch
@daniel thanks for the tip! Disabling seems to solve the focus issue, but now there's no more desktop icons (duh :) ) Personally I use the desktop icons all the time, anything that needs immediate attention goes to the desktop, disabling that would (for me) not be a workaround, but a choice between two evils. If 'Desktop Icons NG' is the root of the issue, maybe the ticket should be filed there? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969598 Title: no auto-focus application after workspace switch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1969598/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1969598] Re: no auto-focus application after workspace switch
Then somehow in between 21.10 and 22.04 there was a change in the behaviour of Desktop Icons NG, as in: when is grabbing focus appropriate. If the new behaviour is preferred by the author, it would be nice for the end-user to have the option to toggle between the old and the new behaviour.
