I also have a similar problem in Gutsy.

I cannot get copy/paste to work at all.

It used to work fine until the recent rdesktop update. (
1.5.0-2ubuntu0.1)

I have tried -5, but this does not make any difference.
(I think version 5 is the default now anyway)
