[Bug 49521] Re: Screen locks up black on laptop lid close.
Have been having the same problem for a while, on an HP Pavilion dm1 laptop. Thought it had been resolved and found out the hard way it haven't after my laptop overheated in it's case while closed. It seems when it "locks up", the CPU ramps up really high and the fan starts pumping out heat. If anyone can suggest how to troubleshoot this, I'd appreciate it, before my laptop ends up melting itself (outside the case it just quickly runs the battery dry). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/49521 Title: Screen locks up black on laptop lid close. [Bug 1077696] Re: mounted samba share stops working for file access
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1075923 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075923 Same problem for me, and also affects playing flac/mp3 off a windows share with Audacious. Usually I can kill the task, but it stays around zombified. Started after the upgrade from 12.04 -> 12.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1077696 Title: mounted samba share stops working for file access To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1077696/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 717970] Re: After sleep, key presses get lost and trackpad is jittery
I'm affected by this bug, I'm also affected by this other one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/8684001. Running 11.10 on an HP Pavilion dm1 laptop with synaptics touchpad. Both issues are resolved by disabling the option to "disable touchpad while typing", which makes me think that these 2 problems are inherently related. Perhaps when the 2 "syndameon" processes go out of sync, one of them starts eating up keystrokes thinking that the touch pad is in use? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/717970 Title: After sleep, key presses get lost and trackpad is jittery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/717970/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
