[Bug 799994] [NEW] ubuntu software center does not display installed apps in get software screen

2011-06-20 Thread Jimmyli1528
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

When I choose Get Software, it only shows packages I do not have
installed. Before, it showed all packages, whether installed or not,
that met my search or category. The old behavior is better vecause I can
check all my apps in one place. This has caused me hours of confusion
and annoyance.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04

[Bug 800495] [NEW] Title bars not changing state properly

2011-06-21 Thread Jimmyli1528
Public bug reported:

When I open a window, it may appear unselected even though it is active.
In other cases, if I click away, the window stays selected. This only
happens with certain windows and with Compiz instead of Metacity. I
reinstalled completely just because of this and added some packages,
rebooted, and the problem appeared AGAIN. Possible candidates are
Armagetron Advanced, Supertux, Supertuxkart, Stellarium, ALSA Mixer,
XPenguins and the applet, and CCSM. Indirect rendering makes no
difference, but window border themes that would normally have window
icons at left are unaffected. For example, ambiance titlebars are OK,
but not Clearlooks, even if the buttons are actually at left. The actual
theme used makes no difference, only the title bar style.

[Bug 815154] [NEW] display problem in maximized applications

2011-07-23 Thread Jimmyli1528
Public bug reported:

I'm using Compiz. When I start an application maximized, close it, and
reopen it, it starts maximized as normal, but the window looks like its
borders are not touching the sides and bottom of the screen. Basically,
there is a small space that the window does not appear to cover.
However, the underlying window placement appears to be correct, as
appears wjen I hover the top right corner of my application. The X
button lights up as usual. (I'm using Clearlook with buttons at right.)
Apparently, this is just a display problem. I tried unsetting my Compiz
gconf keys, which reset my carefully tweaked configuration, but it was
no use. When I move the window, the problem disappears.

Not sure if it's Compiz. I tried resetting the Compiz gconf keys, no luck.
But switching to Metacity with the Compiz Fusion icon fixes temporarily. But
I need Compiz!
