Re: [Bug 348988] Re: pidgin crashed with SIGSEGV

2009-04-02 Thread Jeff Campbell
I was working in a web page when I got the crash report from pidgin. I was
running from Wubi (where Pidgin crashed) and I have since re-installed to a
regular ext4 partition. I will report again if my Pidgin crashes again.

[Bug 415644] [NEW] Ubuntu failes to resume from suspend

2009-08-18 Thread Jeff Campbell
Public bug reported:

Since I did an Ubuntu update this morning (which contained an update to
the kernel) I have not been able to resume my computer from Suspend or
Hibernate.

Steps to reproduce (at least on my machine)
1. Boot-up
2. Login
3. Suspend (click on my name in the upper-right corner, click on Suspend)
4. Push Power button (to awake and resume)

Results: Screen flashes on and then fragments of the screen appear. No
mouse movement is available/visible. Computer seems hung and only a
complete reboot will restore the computer.

Expected Results: Ubuntu awakes and restores to state prior to Suspend

Notes:
I press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace (which I re-enabled to work from the original Ubuntu
install), to see if I can kill and reset X, but this does not work either. I
tried to go to a terminal screen (example ctrl+alt+F3) and nothing happens.
Even if I do a fresh reboot and Suspend or Hibernate from the login screen the
same problem occurs.

I do notice the following in the error logs:

[Bug 536655] Re: Spell check in Empathy mishandles contractions and punctuation

2010-03-23 Thread Jeff Campbell
I was able to get a similar spelling check issue in gedit (when turning
on autocheck spelling and typing "wouldn't"). Empathy has this bug, but
is ALSO would show "(Hello)" as a spelling error also (where gedit would
not show this as an error).

Firefox does NOT use the same spell checker and does not share the same
bug.

[Bug 1845046] Re: Bluetooth headphones default to low quality headset mode and fail to switch to A2DP when selected

2020-01-24 Thread Jeff Campbell
YEAH!!!

Finally Fixed!!! I just tested the bluez proposed update and my
headphones connected in A2DP mode the first time (without having to go
through all the tricks of connecting/disconnecting bluetooth, etc, etc).
I did try powering off and on my headphones several times and it
continues to work as expected.

I'm a "good-to-go" for this fix.
