[Bug 1773457] Re: Full-system encryption needs to be supported out-of-the-box including /boot and should not delete other installed systems
> Encryption is for data privacy and as I said before, nothing you consider > private should be in /boot. Well, not entirely correct. Encryption is also for tamper resistance, so it is still very useful even if nothing in /boot is private. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1773457 Title: Full-system encryption needs to be supported out-of-the-box including /boot and should not delete other installed systems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1773457/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1799293] [NEW] gnome session: Must ask twice to lock the screen when user has auto-login enabled
Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 18.10 (new install) 2) gdm3 3.30.1-1ubuntu5 Preconditions The session's user has auto-login enabled (i.e. the system starts and the user is not prompted for a password but directly presented with the desktop) 3) What should happen: Unlocked desktop is showing. Lock screen is invoked (via WIN+L or via top right corner menu) and the lock screen is engaged (that is, lock screen clock shade drops down and screen fades to dark). Pressing ENTER brings back the lock screen and the password is prompted. 4) What happens: First Win + L lets the system in a half locked state in which the contents of the desktop are seen although no interaction is possible. A second Win + L correctly invokes the lock screen. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799293 Title: gnome session: Must ask twice to lock the screen when user has auto- login enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1799293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1799293] Re: gnome session: Must ask twice to lock the screen when user has auto-login enabled
It's Ubuntu only. I chose disk encryption using the standard install procedure (reason why it's a fresh install rather than an upgrade from 18.04). Would that qualify as "special"? No cosmic-proposed or PPAs or other weirdness. If it helps somehow, I noticed that now that I disabled auto-login, I'm also affected by Bug #1799052 (happens infrequently though). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799293 Title: gnome session: Must ask twice to lock the screen when user has auto- login enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1799293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1871794] Re: [Bluetooth] No audio output/input in HSP/HFP mode
I'm on 20.10 Groovy Beta and, after today's kernel + linux-firmware update, HFP/HSP is working on my dell xps 13 9380. It stopped working since 20.04, it wasn't working with all previous kernel/linux-firmware versions in 20.10. [Bug 1871794] Re: [Bluetooth] No audio output/input in HSP/HFP mode
@nicktelindert you're right. I was so happy that I misidentified my own notebook. It's the one that came right after the 9380: the 7390 (not the 2-in-1) with the dreaded intel bluetooth/wifi killer ax200. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871794 Title: [Bluetooth] No audio output/input in HSP/HFP mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1871794/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1872247] [NEW] activities overview area is too small on the primary display
Public bug reported: Precondition: the desktop is set to span 2 displays (or maybe more but I only have 2 displays). When the activities overview is invoked (e.g., after pressing the 'windows' key), the area where you see window thumbnails and search results is too short on the primary display. It is OK on the secondary display. The bug occurs if: - Display mode is "Join Displays" - The physical display setup has the primary display under the secondary display. As per the settings/display application, assuming display 1 is set to be the primary display, the bug will occur with the following physical display setup: 2 1 <-- (primary is display 1 and it's the one at the bottom) It doesn't matter which of the two displays is set to be the primary display. If display number 2 is set to be the primary one, and the physical display setup is like this: 1 2 <-- (primary is display 2 and it's the one at the bottom) then the bug also occurs. The bug doesn't occur in other physical display setups (e.g., side by side, or the primary on top). The bug doesn't occur when the display mode is "Mirror" or "Single Display". --- lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch) Release:20.04 apt-cache policy gnome-shell gnome-shell: Installed: 3.36.1-4ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.36.1-4ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.36.1-4ubuntu1 500 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: gnome-desktop3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "screenshot of the whole desktop. [Bug 2080525] [NEW] Maximized window gets restored on previous workspace
Public bug reported: When a maximized window is moved to a different workspace using the "Move to monitor right/left" and then restored (un-maximized), it does so going back to the previous workspace. Steps to reproduce: 1. Maximise a window in the current workspace 2. Move it to a different workspace using the "move to monitor " menu entry or the WIN+arrow shortcut (DO NOT drag the window). 3. Restore it Expectation: It gets restored in the new workspace. What happens instead: It gets restored in the previous workspace.
