[Bug 618930] Re: "Dim display when idle" does not dim display
Hi Pedro, I have tried the new gnome-power-manager that comes with 10.10 and the problem still exists - the screen does not dim when idle, despite it being checked in the power management options screen. I ran the same command as in the initial report (gnome-power-manager --verbose 2>&1 | tee ~/gpm.log) and have attached the log. I hope this will help and I am happy to provide more information if required. Thanks, Jas ** Attachment added: "gnome-power-manager log (ubuntu 10.10 x86)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/618930/+attachment/1698408/+files/gpm.log -- "Dim display when idle" does not dim display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/618930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 618930] [NEW] "Dim display when idle" does not dim display
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I am using Ubuntu 10.04 x86 with kernel 2.6.32-24-generic on a Dell Latitude D420. Although the option "Dim display when idle" is ticked for when the laptop is on battery power, the display does not dim. Obviously I expect the display to dim after the specified amount of time. Attached is a log created using the command gnome-power-manager --verbose 2>&1 | tee ~/gpm.log I found from another bug.
