[Bug 1746340] Re: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed)
Here is the output of lspci -vvnn on my computer. It's from the 256GB version of the samsung NVMe. On my systems I've never had any corruption problems, even moving large (60GB+) VM files and installing OS on ext4 multiple times. Currently running stock LM 19. Hope this helps. ** Attachment added: "lspci -vvnn output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1746340/+attachment/5205324/+files/debug.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1746340 Title: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1746340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1746340] Re: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed)
Stumbled onto this bug from somewhere else, and noticed that it seems I have the same samsung SSD drive SM961/PM961 (Same output on lspci --vvnn regarding the NVMe as Lucas posted,). However, for me it has worked without any problems on stock ubuntu 18.04 / mint / kubuntu installations. Perhaps it depends on the system configuration as well instead of just the SSD? Not sure this information helps but though to post it anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1746340 Title: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1746340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1728012] Re: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change
I'm having the same problem with Samsung M2070 scanner, but thanks to the information here I was able to patch it working. I linked the files located in /usr/lib/sane (copied there likely by the samsung driver installer) to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane and now the scan works both over the usb and the network. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728012 Title: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1728012/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1082215] Re: Writing on a certain USB HDD causes corruption
Hi, I'm suffering from the same problem. Is there a "dummys quide" somewhere, that would describe compiling a driver module? I "managed" to compile the usb-storage.ko file again, but it ended about 10% different in size compared to the original, and not surprising, it does not work. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Looking into the latest stable kernel there is (3.7.**) the bug still persists. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1082215 Title: Writing on a certain USB HDD causes corruption To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1082215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1082215] Re: Writing on a certain USB HDD causes corruption
Hello again, I installed the 3.8-rc3 kernel, but all usb devices connected (apart from touchpad and fingerprint reader) refused to work, so no way to test if this hdd adapter would work. [Bug 1082215] Re: Writing on a certain USB HDD causes corruption
Ok I installed the 3.8-rc3 kernel, and after installing also the extras-package I got the usb devices to work. [Bug 1082215] Re: Writing on a certain USB HDD causes corruption
Hi, After the latest official kernel patch(3.2.0.40) for my xubuntu 12.04 , my external HDD now works.
