[Bug 250655] [NEW] samba daemon deadlocks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba I have firefox's (3.0) profile stored on a samba share. Ocasionally (about twice a day) when entering data into a webcontrol, firefox freezes. The cause seems to be the samba daemon on the server that deadlocks. A new samba daemon is spawned after a few seconds, but the dead daemon remains in memory and also keeps locking the firefox profile directory. It can only be killed with kill -9. Connecting to the dead daemon with gdb produces the following callstack: #0 0x7faf9272023e in __lll_lock_wait_private () from /lib/libc.so.6 #1 0x7faf926b4b92 in _L_lock_15195 () from /lib/libc.so.6 #2 0x7faf926b3c11 in free () from /lib/libc.so.6 #3 0x7faf926cb0ce in tzset_internal () from /lib/libc.so.6 #4 0x7faf926cb177 in __tz_convert () from /lib/libc.so.6 #5 0x00605a16 in current_timestring () #6 0x006001fc in dbghdr () #7 0x00601544 in ?? I have what I think is the same problem. [Bug 129886] Buddy window hiding at startup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin I know the hiding of the buddy window at startup is in a plugin (extended preferences). First: I think it's VERY basic functionality that should be in the main preferences. Second: On latest ubuntu gutsy (2007-08-02), the setting in the plugin doesn't work. The buddy list always shows. [Bug 129888] Account gets disabled by connecting from other location (MSN)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin When using an MSN account and you sign in from another computer while still connected, the MSN account gets 'disabled'. This is undesirable behaviour. Earlier versions of gaim didn't do this (to my knowledge). In my opinion, the account should just be disconnected, but not disabled, so it will automatically attempt to login again at next startup.
