Now with kernel 2.6.27-7.11 these freezes are more rare, but still occur. I had 3 freezes and all stopped this time at: [ 16.404447] iwl3945: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 3945ABG [ 16.465873] iwl3945: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels But after whole progress bar is loaded and after X started and the cursor is shown the machine hangs and Caps Lock led starts blinking. Now my laptop boot every time, except the random lockup while X is loading. But the problem with booting is fixed. I suppose, I have similar problem. When gdm is starting the laptop freezes, the Caps Lock led start blinking and I can only power off the machine. This occurs on random bases.
