[Bug 1447893] Re: wireshark-common 1.12.1+g01b65bf-4 failed to upgrade. It now requires "wireshark" group to be a system group.

groupmod will only change the group id in /etc/group, but would not update any
existing files.
Not sure if it is a big deal, but here is what I did:

sudo apt-get remove wireshark\*
sudo dpkg -a --configure
sudo apt-get install wireshark

This may still leave some files with the old user and group id, I guess,
but the main part will be replaced.

[Bug 1447893] [NEW] wireshark-common 1.12.1+g01b65bf-4 failed to upgrade. It now requires "wireshark" group to be a system group.

2015-04-23 Thread Ilya Bobyr
Public bug reported:

Wireshark-common pacakge from Utopic created a "wireshark" group that was not a
system group. Id higher than 1000.
Wireshark-common that comes with Vivid requests group creation with "--system"
flag.
That fails as the group already exists and is not in the system ID range.

[Bug 1972983] Re: File dialog in snap firefox does not have keyboard focus

2022-05-11 Thread Ilya Bobyr
I've observed a similar issue, since the Ubuntu 22.04 upgrade.
Though, I can not confirm 100% that the issue happened exactly on the updated
date.
It might have been caused by one of the Firefox upgrades. I am currently on
version 100.

For me, the focus in the save dialog constantly switches to the file list area.
It makes it almost impossible to type the file name.
When I type one character, this character is inserted into the file name edit
field.
But then the focus changes to the file list area. And the next character I
type is used as a file list filter command.
