[Bug 1780806] Re: Kernel 4.15.0 fails to boot with linux-modules-extra

2018-09-18 Thread ITEAS
Hello all, same problem here. Hangs about 35 seconds on initial Ramdisk.
Installation with EFI and i have also a nvidiacard. Same on my
officenotebook. I had also some Errors at boot.

PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key

So i sigend the kernelmodules with a trusted key. This has worked and
the error is gone. But system still hangs on the same place. Strange...
i always thought it was nvidia. But the problem must be on a other side.

Ok, now tested, and yes with "acpi=off" it is booting normal. Strange.
But this not a workaround, with acpi=off the system is not useable.

[Bug 1741579] [NEW] Wrong/confuse text on shutdown at unattended-upgrades

2018-01-05 Thread ITEAS
Public bug reported:

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: unattended-upgrades-0.90ubuntu0.9
Uname: 4.4.0-104-generic #127-Ubuntu SMP
Architecture: amd64

I've german systems, so when updates will be installed at shutdown this
text will be displayed at the screen.

German:
"unattended upgrade läuft während des herunterfahrens weiter, es wird fünf
Sekunden lange gewartet"

English:
"unattended upgrade runs during the shutdown, it waits for five seconds"

This sentence make absolutly no sence for me. Maybe it is an
translationproblem? Don't know text on the english ubuntuversion.
The problem is that some customer turned of some computers, because the updates
need more time then 5 seconds ;)

A better message will that was Windows10 displays at shutdown ...don't
turn off the computer, updates will be installed...

Thanks and best Reagards
