[Bug 1224732] Re: Custom keyboard shortcuts don't work

I am on 14.04 64bit. When I set the conky window to override I also get something similar to overlapping letters. [Bug 994773] [NEW] Spell check keyboard short cut doesn't work in 12.04
Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on two different laptops. A Dell Inspirion 1520 and an EeePC 1000H. [Bug 991977] [NEW] Ubuntu 12.04 hangs on shutdown
Public bug reported: I'm running a Dell Inspiron 1520 with an Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS. The computer hangs on shutdown and reboot. I tried adding INIT_HALT = POWEROFF to /etc/default/halt and that seems to stop the problem with rebooting. I tried changing video drivers from 295.40 to 290.10 as I read in a thread on launchpad.
