[Bug 510210] Re: Client shows connected Folder shows disconnected, files not syncing
I think I've got the same issue. It's vaguely intermittent, but even when it DOES kinda connect, it doesn't do all the files, only one or two here and there. Overall, though, it's been days since I've been able to successfully connect. I tried deleting the syncdaemon file as advised in another bug report for a similar issue, and that didn't fix, I even reinstalled via synaptic, and that hasn't fixed. I also even enabled 'karmic-proposed' hoping to get the latest fix, but nada. -- Client shows connected Folder shows disconnected, files not syncing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 509811] [NEW] Ubuntu One Applet doesn't upload new files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client The Ubuntu One Applet seems to only be able to spottily update my files...I've just gotten it to finally connect and update, but for the last hour I've been trying to connect, or restart, or restart the applet, anything I could think of to get it to realize that the files were NOT updated, and that there was a whole folder it was ignoring. Working now, but I don't know why now and not in hte first place, hence me still filing this bug report (I clicked the button while it was still not working). It's pretty important, as youc an't upload folders through the web interface, so I HAVE to use the client to get everything to work right, in theory. The applet kept telling me everything was updated already, even though it clearly wasn't, and it knew it wasn't, since it identifies witha checkmark updated files, and this file did not have a checkmark. Using Ubuntu Netbook Remix on a Asus EEE PC, with all default settings, and all updates installed, and origianly Koala was a fresh install (it's been a few months now, so I guess it's not 'fresh'). [Bug 510210] Re: Client shows connected Folder shows disconnected, files not syncing
Like I said, I've been having the same problem. I tried completely reinstalling, and removing all computers (and in the process encountered a bug, now resolved, where I got an error trying to do that even). This did not solve the problem, so recently I tried what you said Josh, and attached is the log files. Although now the client and the applet both say I'm connected, no files download from the server (I have many on there), and no files created upload. I almost wonder if, considering the bug where computers couldn't be removed, if there's a SERVER side issue? Again, my ubuntuone doesn't download or upload files, although the fix you suggested did make the client and folder both agree that they're connected. As further background: I have many files on there (text files organized into several subfolders), and I originally had two laptops in the system, as I have two laptops and wanted to keep them both synchronized. It's really bothering me to have these files not upload, and I don't think I'm the only one experiencing this (especially since I'm not even the creator of this bug). It seems that the interface is sometimes buggy, and that sometimes once it goes buggy, you're stuck, even with all the proposed fixes I've found. ** Attachment added: "logfiles.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39624572/logfiles.tar.gz -- Client shows connected Folder shows disconnected, files not syncing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 535599] [NEW] Ubuntu One Doesn't Upload
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client Okay, so I had a lot of problems getting ubuntuone to sync. It would occasionally, then it wouldn't do all files, only doing some, uploading folders but not files, etc. etc. So I deleted everything in it serverside, and removed everything on it on my comp, then deleted the auth key, reinstalled, added this comp, then added folders. And nothing updated. It's exactly what it's been doing, saying it updated when it did not actually upload anything. So as of right now, UbuntuOne is utterly useless to me unless I upload files manually, which frankly is just as good as if I just email the dang files to myself and take UbuntuOne out of the equation entirely. I want to get to the point where I can have multiple files that I make changes to and have it upload it, so that I can use either of 2 computers to work on it, though right now I'd settle for even just one computer working like it's supposed to. [Bug 792902] [NEW] Unity malfunctions when using multiple screens
Public bug reported: When I hook up my Alienware M11x through HDMI to my TV, my unity button goes away. If I put my mouse in the upper corner, I still sometimes get the unity bar on the left of my screen, but it doesn't go away unless I click something in it, and even then it doesn't always, frequently either not opening at all, or not going away even though I'm trying to click elsewhere. I have my screens cloned, and am using the Ubuntu Nvidia XServer settings to do it. (I also can't get sound on the HDMI out, but that's another well known bug.)
